Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, analyzing, and reviewing residential and light commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for residential and light commercial projects
• Perform structural analysis and calculations
• Prepare construction documents and plans
• Review architectural drawings and structural drawings
• Collaborate with permit technicians and project managers
• Ensure compliance with local and national building codes (IBC, IRC)
• Communicate with clients, builders, and jurisdictions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering
• EIT required, PE preferred (or ability to obtain)
• 2+ years of structural design experience
• Strong knowledge of IBC/IRC and load calculations
• Experience with wood, steel, and concrete design
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, Excel, or similar
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
